LOST AND FOUND
2022 got iconic when Nike decided to re-release the Air Jordan 1 High Chicago. The sneaker got named, “Air Jordan 1 High Lost and Found”, reminiscing the scene of finding a pair of Chicago’s in the back of a thrift shop. The shoe features the classic Chicago colors, but features an aged detailing throughout the shoe, to make it look like an original pair of Chicagos from 85’. With the pair comes a vintage-looking invoice, once again to relive the thrift shop find experience.
One of the most talked-about collaborations of the year was of course the collaboration between Air Jordan and Travis Scott. In 2022 This collaboration gave us two different colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott.
The first was a strong contender to sneaker of the year, released in July 2022 and is of course the "Reverse Mocha". Reversing the OG colorway has proven to be a wise decision, with mocha tones on the base of the shoe, white overlays and cream accents on laces, midsole and on the reversed swoosh.
The second releasing December 2022, was the "Black Phantom". Different from the other three Air Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott, this one was made in one color only. An all black colorway, Travis Scott branding and stitching in white accents as the only contrast to the black colors.
Another much talked about, and very highly sought after collab is the partnership between Nike and A Ma Maniére.
This time it is the classic Tinker Hatfield designed Air Jordan 4, which has been given a new look. Alike everything A Ma Maniére does, it has a very luxurious look, and is made with high quality materials.
It features a premium nubuck upper in "violet ore" tones. The mid and outsole is made in a vintage creamy white to add contrast. The inner lining is made in a luxurious quilted pattern. To finish off the shoe, small quotes is added to the back tabs, on the left it says: "It's not about the shoes", and on the right: "It's about where you're going.
